Cake was engaged by Aoraki construction, to remove failed coatings to all structural steel, spanning the 200metre façade which had been battered by the brutal southerly winds and by ocean spray which is only a stone’s throw away.

We stripped back the existing coating to a SA2.5 before applying a PUR5 system from AkzoNobel which comprised of a 3-coat coat system of Interzinc 52, Intergard 251HS and Interthane 990.
