Project Description

Ravensdown implement ongoing maintenance projects to protect their infrastructure within the corrosive fertiliser environment. This year they have scheduled in one of the Urea storage shed’s at their Hornby, Christchurch department to be refurbished and enhance integrity with a specific 20 year carboline three coat system. Our South Island protective coating division was engaged to carry out the project consisting of the full existing coating removal with mobile sandblasting processes and product application of the 1250sqm structural steel shed carried out with airless spraying application. Our experienced team are three weeks into the project and working closely with the Engineers and Builders to ensure collaboration and project progress is obtained.

With the structural being exposed to a harsh environment quality is essential. We are following strict requirements ensuring blasted surfaces are maintained and consistent in accordance with specifications, paint film builds are applied correctly verified by inhouse and third-party inspections.
