Cake were engaged to undertake the removal of a Super Six Roof at a residential property in Auckland.
Our Asbestos Removal team carried out a thorough operation to remove all Super Six roof cladding at the property, and then carried out an environmental clean to decontaminate the surrounding area. The Asbestos containing materials were double bagged and safely disposed of at an appropriate Asbestos waste facility. Our team monitored the air for contaminants throughout the operation and worked closely alongside a third party Asbestos Assessor, ensuring that our practises were compliant and that the Asbestos was removed safely and correctly.
Super Six Roofing is a corrugated roof sheet used widely across New Zealand and is made of an Asbestos Cement mix. The material is highly hazardous as exposure to weather and corrosive elements can produce toxic airborne Asbestos fibres. Furthermore, rainwater collected from Super Six Roofing may be highly contaminated with these Asbestos fibres. Cake we’re happy to undertake this project for our client and remove the harmful material from the home.
